This is the real thing and not a cheap imitation.
Plantation style high quality ALL WOOD construction, pecan wood china cabinet and formal dining table with all leaves and custom table pads, bought in Mississippi in the mid 1960s for over 1000.00, this is was top of the line at the time and had one owner and was lightly used during holidays.
This furniture has the ORIGINAL WELL-MAINTAINED FINISH, it is very Southern and would look great in an Historic Home.
The china cabinet is made of pecan wood and is lighted with glass shelves with grooves for displaying plates and has three cabinets below with a large drawer for holding table clothes. All construction of the furniture is wood, unlike cheap imitations and much of it is solid pecan wood. The chair construction is solid pecan wood, the table top has a beautiful inlay pattern and has always been used with pads so it is in pristine shape. Some really nice table clothes will be included. The table and chairs are a lovely queen ann style with curved legs and a cane back and generous curved seats. The chairs are very comfortable with a molded seat bottom, not just a piece of plywood, and both foam and cotton stuffing. They will accomodate larger guests comfortably and elegantly. The table expands to 9 or ten feet long. I have four chairs, the table was originally shown with the four chairs and a fully upholstered chair at each end.
The china cabinet measures 58 1/2 w x 16 d x 80 1/2 high, it is big and heavy as it is solid wood. The table is 56 1/2 l x 40 w x 30 h. seat size is 21 w x 18 d. the seat height from ground is 20 inches and the seat back height from the ground to the top of the seat back is 44 inches.
Included is a matching round pecan wood three legged occasional table that came with the dining room group. It is small and would hold a plant, spitoon or whatever and it features the same queen ann styling and inlaid top as the dining table.
This furniture is beautiful and needs to be in a home where it can be showcased, maintained and used as it should be. It's a great deal for the quality and quantity of furniture. $650 for everything, table, chairs, occasional table, china cabinet, leaves, pads, tablecloths. Serious inquiries only.
